# @moebius/joda-helpers

This package provides a small collection of useful helpers for [js-joda][js-joda].
## Features
- Various dates comparison with configurable tolerance
- Written in TypeScript and provides type declarations
- Distributed in both CommonJS and ESM formats
## Installation
Install package with npm:
`npm i -S @moebius/joda-helpers`
## API
### `isEqual(date1, date2, options: { tolerance })`
Checks if `date1` is equal to `date2` with optional tolerance.
### `isBefore(date1, date2, options: { tolerance })`
Checks if `date1` is before `date2` with optional tolerance.
### `isAfter(date1, date2, options: { tolerance })`
Checks if `date1` is after `date2` with optional tolerance.
### `isBeforeOrEqual(date1, date2, options: { tolerance })`
Checks if `date1` is before or equal to `date2` with optional tolerance.
### `isAfterOrEqual(date1, date2, options: { tolerance })`
Checks if `date1` is after or equal to `date2` with optional tolerance.
### `isBetween(options: { date, startDate, endDate, tolerance })`
Checks if `date` is between `startDate` and `endDate` with optional tolerance.
### `* tolerance: { units: ChronoUnit, value: number }`
Optional `tolerance` configuration property allows to specify date comparison
tolerance, e.g.: `{ units: ChronoUnit.MINUTES, value: 15 }`. If passed to e.g.
`isEqual()` function, it will compare two dates in range of `+/- 15 minutes`.
### `toIsoString(date: JodaDate): string`
Return `ISO:8601` standard complaint string representation
of the specified Joda date. Takes [SYSTEM zone ID][js-joda--system-zone-id]
into consideration.
