# Getting Started
## Prerequisites
Before cloning and using this application, you'll need to install these things on your computer:
* [Node.js](https://nodejs.org/en/download/): a single-threaded, open-source, cross-platform runtime environment for building fast and scalable server-side and networking applications. It runs on Chrome's V8 JavaScript runtime engine, and it uses event-driven, non-blocking I/O architecture, which makes it efficient and suitable for real-time applications.
* [npm](https://docs.npmjs.com/about-npm): the default package manager for the JavaScript runtime environment Node.js. It consists of a command line client, also called npm, and an online database of public and paid-for private packages, called the npm registry. The registry is accessed via the client, and the available packages can be browsed and searched via the npm website.
* [Vue](https://vuejs.org/): a JavaScript framework for building user interfaces. It builds on top of standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and provides a declarative and component-based programming model that helps you efficiently develop user interfaces, be they simple or complex.
* [Visual Studio Code](https://code.visualstudio.com/download): You can choose any IDE or Text Editor that you want. To build a simple application like this, I recommend Visual Studio Code.
## Installation
You can install this application by cloning this repository into your current working directory:
```sh
git clone https://github.com/theEmperorofDaiViet/shopping-cart.git
```
After cloning the repository, you can open the project by Visual Studio Code.
## Project setup
### Install the dependencies
```
npm install
```
### Boot the app
```
npm run start
```
The Node and Webpack servers are now running - watch the console output for instructions. Your entire application is now available at [http://localhost:8080/](http://localhost:8080/)

- Get all items in the product list
- Get all items in the shopping cart
- Add an item to the shopping cart
- Remove an item from the shopping cart
- Remove all items from the shopping cart
- When no cart items are present: Hide the ‘Total Quantity’ text and ‘Remove all’ icon within the cart; disable the checkout button and notify the user to start adding items
+ v1.1.0: have multiple pages:
+ /products - only listing the list of products.
+ /cart - the cart screen.
+ /product/:id - to see more information of a particular product from the product list.
- v1.2.0: the server that the app communicates with is now protected by a token that requires a login.
