# Thunderbird for iOS



Welcome to Thunderbird for iOS! This project aims to bring the Thunderbird email experience to iOS devices. Thunderbird for iOS is a ground up development effort to create a high-quality email client tailored for iOS.



## Current Status



This repository is at an early stage of development. Here’s what you need to know:



- **Development Focus:** Establishing the app’s architecture, backend integration, and foundational features.

- **Functionality:** Not yet functional or ready for production use. Key features like reading and writing emails will follow in future stages.

- **Vision:** Design a mobile email platform that enhances user efficiency through focused triage, seamless desktop integration, and a suite of productivity-enhancing services.



Our current goal is to have a version of Thunderbird for iOS available on Apple's Testflight for early testing. The full

App Store release will come at a later stage, and most certainly include standard features you'd expect from an email client.



## Contributing



At this stage, the project is still being built from the ground up. While it might not be ready for active contributions yet, here’s how you can help:
