## Requirements

- [Minecraft](https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition)

*Requires paid version of Minecraft (Java Edition) which can be found at the link above. Milage with pirated version may vary. However is not directly enforced on the server. The windows, console, or mobile versions of Minecraft WILL NOT work as they can't be modded.*

- Cpu

*1ghz minimum, x86, or x64 supported. 1.2ghz and x64 prefered.*

- Ram

*3gb minimum, 4gb prefered.*

## How to Install

*It's typically best to use a seconday minecraft launcher in conjuction with the default minecraft launcher. This helps to console the various versions of minecraft, as well as any other modpacks you might use for other servers you play on. The most common secondary launcher is CurseForge. However other launcher should work as long as they support CurseForge profiles.*

- [Download](https://download.curseforge.com/), and Install CurseForge, or the launcher of your choice that supports CurseForge profiles.

- [Download](https://github.com/TimothyMeadows/birdgineering/releases/download/1.12.2/birdgineering-1.12.2.zip) the Birgineering CurseForge profile.

- Import the Birdgineering profile into CurseForge or the launcher of your choice.
*Further directions will be only for the CurseForge client.*
- Click 'Create Custom Profile' in the upper right hand corner of the client.
- Click 'Or import a previously created profile' at the top of the custom profile window.
- Select the Birdgineering profile that you downloaded before (.zip file).

# Tips

These are tips, and tricks for dealing various features and oddities in the mod pack.

## Starting Tips

*The game modifies the survival rules adding thirst, temp, and most shocking at first is the realistic damage effects taken when you don't have armor yet*

- Craft a shield. There are MANY shields in the game, the wooden, and stone shields are very easy to craft and provide great protection until you can get armor.
- Craft leather, or wool armor. Leather, and wool are plentiful in the game from various sources.
- Craft a canteen, or a bucket early so you can drink water. Filters can be used to purify water in a canteen, and water in a bucket can be boiled in a furnace. This mostly an early game annoyance as later you can brew juice, soda, beer, and tea which are all considered purified by default.
- Find a wolf / dog and tame one. You can put armor on them for helping in fights, you can also put chests on there armor for storage.
- If you don't like doggos (you monster!) you can also tame a horse, and attach a cart for portable storage.
- Natural regen does not work! Bandages, and Plaster can be created to heal wounds. Sleeping can slowly heal wounds. This is again, more of an annoyance early game and can be mostly offset with the various healing sources in the game.
- Traveler's Backpack, if you have one is placed *next* to your tombstone when you die, DO NOT forget to pick it up (break it, and put it back into your inventory) after you grab your items from your grave.
