# tonebridge
## What is ToneBridge?
tonebridge is an AI-powered translation tool that goes beyond word-for-word.
It uses **Google Gemini** for translations and **ElevenLabs** for voices, showing you **casual, neutral, and professional** styles side-by-side.
When ElevenLabs isn’t available, ToneBridge falls back to standard **text-to-speech (TTS)** so you can still hear results out loud.

## Getting your own API keys
If you want to experiment with similar tools, here’s how to get the keys tonebridge uses:
### Google Gemini API Key
1. Go to [Google AI Studio](https://ai.google.dev/).
2. Sign in with your Google account.
3. Create a new API key under **Get API Key**.
4. Copy the key — this will let you call Gemini models.
### ElevenLabs API Key
1. Head to [ElevenLabs](https://elevenlabs.io/).
2. Make an account (free tier available).
3. Open your **Profile → API Keys** section.
4. Generate a new key and copy it.
