## Introduction

The _HelloID-Conn-Prov-Target-SalesForce_ connector creates/updates user accounts in SalesForce. The SalesForce API is based on the Salesfoce Apex Rest API. https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_rest.meta/api_rest/intro_what_is_rest_api.htm

> Note that this connector has not been tested on a SalesForce implementation. Changes might have to be made to the code according to your requirements

## Getting started

### Connection settings

The following settings are required to connect to the API.

| Setting | Description |
| ------------ | ----------- |
| ClientID | The client id of the connected application used for API. |
| ClientSecret | The client secret of the connected application used for API. |
| AdminUserName | The username of the Salesforce system admin account.
| AdminPassword | The password of the Salesforce system admin account. |
| SecurityToken | The security token of the Salesforce system admin account. |
| BaseUrl | The URL to the Salesforce application. |
| APIVersion | The API version. e.g. v42.0. |
| Enable TLS 1.2 | Enables the connection to use TLS 1.2 |

### Prerequisites

- When using the HelloID On-Premises agent, Windows PowerShell 5.1 must be installed.

### Supported PowerShell versions

The connector is created for both Windows PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell Core. This means that the connector can be executed in both cloud and on-premises using the HelloID Agent.

> Older versions of Windows PowerShell are not supported.
