Description
===========
Installs & configures the ultimate DVD Player & Set Top Box, & next-generation of XBMC: [Kodi][1]
Usage
======
To use, simply add `kodi::default` to your runlist.
Attributes
----------
- `node['kodi']['addons']`: An `Array` of addon package names to install. Optional. Default: `[]` (empty). For full list of available packages, see kodi ppa: http://kodi.wiki/view/Official_Ubuntu_PPA
Example
-------
For example, if we wanted to install kodi plus the `kodi-pvr-mythtv` addon onto an existing [mythtv][4] frontend & backend server...
Create a role: `roles/kodi-frontend.json`:
{
"json_class": "Chef::Role",
"name": "kodi-frontend",
"description": "Role for Kodi frontend servers",
"default_attributes": {
"kodi": {
"addons": ["kodi-pvr-mythtv"]
}
},
"run_list": [
"recipe[kodi::default]"
]
}
Then add `role[kodi-frontend]` to your node's `run_list`:
{
"name": "kodi.example.com",
"run_list": [
"role[base]",
"role[mythtv-frontend]",
"role[mythtv-backend]",
"role[kodi-frontend]"
]
}
