# Table comments

Add a tab to show comments in SQL Developer. Applies to tables, views and

materialized views.

## Set up

1. Save the XML file somewhere convenient on your system

2. Go to SQL Developer Preferences

3. Search for user defined extensions

4. Add a new row. Set the Type as `Editor` and Location to the saved XML file
