# Stripe for .NET MAUI
[Stripe](https://www.stripe.com/) is a well-known payment gateway providing a wide range of payment products and solutions.
## Prerequisites
- .NET 8
- Java SDK 17 as the default Java version in your PATH **IMPORTANT**
- Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code
- .NET workloads for .NET MAUI
## Steps to run the sample app
1/ Open `dotnet-maui-stripe.sln` file
2/ Create `Shared.dev.cs` as a copy of `Shared.dev.cs.sample`

3/ Replace the placeholder with your key
4/ Run `StripeMauiQs.Host` without debugging
5/ Use [ngrok](https://ngrok.com) to expose your local server for accessing from mobile device(s)/simulator(s)/emulator(s)

ngrok http http://localhost:4242
```
6/ Set value of `BACKEND_URL` in `Shared.dev.cs` to the generated ngrok URL
7/ Run and check out the app
## Steps to use in your app
1/ Install the nuget package

2/ Call `UseStripe` in your `MauiProgram.cs`
3/ Inject `IPaymentSheet` into your class
4/ Try to invoke relevant method e.g. `PresentWithPaymentIntentAsync`
> **NOTE** **IMPORTANT!!!** If the .NET MAUI project cannot be loaded, please close the solution, then remove bin and obj folders patiently.
