## ⚖️ Legal & EULA Compliance



By downloading, installing, or using Butter Launcher, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to be bound by the **[Hytale End-User License Agreement (EULA)](https://hytale.com/eula)**.



**Why is Butter Launcher legal?**

We strictly adhere to the "Legally Binding Terms" set forth by Hypixel Studios:



1.  **Interoperability Rights (Section 4.2):**

    > *"Nothing in this EULA limits your rights... to conduct reverse engineering solely... to achieve interoperability between the Game and independently created software."*

    

    Butter Launcher is independently created software designed to achieve interoperability with the Game, operating strictly within these bounds to provide cross-platform compatibility and advanced local management.



2.  **No Illegal Distribution (Section 3.3):**

    > *"You may not distribute the Game (in whole or in part)..."*

    

    Butter Launcher **does not** host, redistribute, or bundle the Hytale game client, binaries, or source code. It acts as a management tool that downloads files directly from official sources or manages your existing local installation.



3.  **Modding Philosophy (Section 3.1):**

    We support the community's creativity by providing tools to manage Mods, plugins, and custom content as encouraged by the official guidelines.
