# JCE - A Content Editor for Joomla

JCE is a WYSIWYG Editor extension for the [Joomla CMS](https://www.joomla.org). 

Based on the Tinymce WYSIWYG Editor, JCE provides a direct replacement for Joomla's core WYSIWYG editor, while offering a host of additional features and enhancments to general content editing, as well as a standalone File Browser, and a simple replacement for the Joomla Media Field.

## Download and Installation

The JCE Editor Core package can be downloaded for free from the JCE site - https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/downloads/editor/core - and is installed like all other Joomla Extensions, using the Joomla Installer - https://docs.joomla.org/Installing_an_extension

JCE Pro, which extends JCE Core with a number of advanced features, such as image resizing and editing, media management, Captions and Columns, is available with the purchase of a [JCE Pro Subscription](https://www.joomlacontenteditor.net/purchase)
