gantt-chart-planner
A friendly, all-in-one HTML file that helps you plan projects, schedule tasks, and see everything on a drag‑and‑drop timeline. No installation, no internet, no sign‑up — just download and open.
What it does
You get a table where you list your tasks, plus a Gantt chart where you drag bars to set dates. Add sub‑tasks, mark what’s urgent, and link tasks so one can’t start until another finishes. Everything saves inside the HTML file itself — your work stays with you.
Who it’s for
Project managers, Team leads, Freelancers, Anyone juggling multiple steps, deadlines, or events
Main features
- Drag & drop – Move task bars on the timeline, reorder rows, or nest tasks inside each other.
- Sub‑tasks & dependencies – Build a real work breakdown. Say “Task B needs Task A to finish first.”
- Urgent & overdue alerts – The planner highlights tasks that are behind or running out of time.
- Remarks on tasks – Leave notes, ask questions, and reply right inside the task bar.
- Import / Export Excel – Bring in existing lists or export your plan to share with others.
How to use it
- Download the .html file to your computer.
- Double‑click it — it opens in your web browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox all work).
- Start planning – add tasks, drag bars, set owners and due dates.
- Save your work – click the 💾 Save file button (or press Ctrl/Cmd + S). A new copy of the HTML file downloads with your data baked right in.
- Reopen that saved file next time — pick up exactly where you left off.
That’s it. No accounts, no cloud, no surprises.
A note on privacy & safety
Everything stays inside the HTML file on your own computer. Nothing is uploaded, and no browser storage is used. When you save, you download a fresh copy of the file containing your plan. You are in control.
That’s all!
Try it out, break things, drag stuff around — it’s made to be played with.
If you get stuck, just open a fresh copy and start over. Happy planning 😊
