# Bavarium - The ultimate unrestricted browser environment
Bavarium is a custom, Chromium-based browser made using Electron available for Windows and macOS that has been designed to allow people to visit websites without any restrictions, as if they were going to the site normally.
# Bypassing internet censorship
Bavarium uses leading proxy technologies such as **[Ultraviolet](https://github.com/titaniumnetwork-Dev/Ultraviolet)** and **[Scramjet](https://github.com/mercuryworkshop/scramjet)** to get past website blocking programs. Ultraviolet prioritizes reliablility whilst Scramjet prioritizes speed. All proxies are locally hosted, so you won't have to rely on other websites.

# Lightweight
Bavarium has been designed to run on lower-end devices on both Windows and macOS, allowing it to run using minimal system resources whilst still being reliable and fast.
# Advantages over using a standard web proxy
## Speed
Bavarium is always faster since it and the proxies are running locally using your network connection, and doesn't rely on external servers or a VPN service to connect to a proxy. Everything is handled on-site.
## Reliability
Bavarium is much more reliable than standard web proxies as you will never have to worry about the site being blocked/going offline as it is an app, and there is no site to block since proxies are once again handled locally.
## Security
Bavarium gives you much more control over the sites you visit and your data. I have made sure to allow users to delete their data at any time and have made it easy to fully delete Bavarium without your data being left over.
# Compatibility
## macOS
macOS requires at least **macOS 13 or newer** with **ARM64**.
## Windows
Windows requires at least **Windows 10 or newer** with **x86 or x64**.
## Global
Bavarium needs at least **1 GB of RAM** and **500 MB of storage** to run properly.
