# py_imu_mpu6050

Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) Driver based on on the [MPU6050](https://invensense.tdk.com/products/motion-tracking/6-axis/mpu-6050/)

# Introduction

This module is able to communicate to the MPU6050 throught I2C. The hardware support is very wide since the code is using Adafruit-Blinka and adafruit-circuitpython-busdevice that provides neccesary configuration for different platform, as shown in the following list:

# Installing from PyPI

On supported GNU/Linux systems like the RRaspberry pi, Beaglebone, Jetson Boards, etc. you can install the driver locally from [PyPI]([pip](https://pip.pypa.io/en/stable/)).
To install for current user:

```bash
pip3 install py-imu-mpu6050
```
To install system-wide (this may be required in some cases):
```bash
sudo pip3 install py-imu-mpu6050
```

To install in a virtual environment in your current project:

```bash
mkdir project-folder-name
cd project-folder-name
python3 -m venv .env
source .env/bin/activate
pip3 install py-imu-mpu6050
```
