# Sales Performance Tracker – Excel Dashboard
## 📌 Overview
This project is an Excel-based dashboard designed to track and compare **monthly sales performance** against both the **previous year (PY)** and the **plan (PL)**.
It provides clear visual and numerical insights into which locations are meeting, exceeding, or falling short of targets, with **interactive dropdown filter** for easy navigation.
## 🛠 Tools & Features Used
- **Excel** (Microsoft 365)
- **XLOOKUP** – to pull and match data between datasets
- **Conditional Formatting** – to highlight positive and negative performance variances
- **Percentage Change Calculations** – to measure growth vs PY and PL
- **Dynamic Charts** – to visualize actual sales, plan, and year-over-year changes
- **Dropdown Filter** – to select **Month**, automatically updating all charts and tables
## 📊 Dashboard Components
1. **Summary Table** – Actual sales, PY sales, Plan, and percentage variances.
2. **Actual vs Plan Chart** – Side-by-side comparison of actual results and targets for each location.
3. **Δ PY % Chart** – Year-over-year growth visualization with positive variances highlighted.
4. **Δ PL % Chart** – Performance vs plan, highlighting over- and under-performance.
## 🔍 Key Insights
- Identified top-performing locations exceeding both PY and PL targets.
- Highlighted underperforming locations for potential corrective action.
- Seasonal and regional performance differences easily visible through charts.
## 📂 How to Use
- Select **Month** from the dropdown filter at the top of the dashboard to update the entire report dynamically.
- Use the charts to quickly assess trends and performance gaps.
